ABOUT HANNAH SAMSON
Born into a large military family, she had quite the unique upbringing amidst the creative chaos of the Samson family. Encouraged by her mother, Hannah began her studies on the violin in 4th grade with her school's orchestral program, but it wasn't until she switched to the viola in 11th grade that the love really affair began.

In 2011, she was admitted to Pepperdine University to study viola on scholarship and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance cum laude. While at Pepperdine she served as principle violist of the Univeristy Symphony for three years, was selected as a member of the Mary Pickford Ensemble and Quartet, studied abroad in the Heidelberg Summer Music Program, and performed as the winner of the 2015 Thomas Osborn Concerto Competiton.
Hannah has played with many great orchestras including Philadelphia Sinfonia, the American Youth Symphony, and most recently the Young Artists Symphony Orchestra of Los Angeles. Her primary teachers include Helen Callus, Alma Fernandes, and Christopher Luther, and she has worked closely with Alexander Treger and Christopher Parkening in coaching and studio settings.
Outside of the practice room, Hannah enjoys going on wilderness adventures, cooking delicious healthy foods, visiting art museums, growing sunflowers and other things, attending concerts (classical and rock), and exploring Los Angeles.
